Seems like Massive B are following Mighty Crowns footprints and teaming up with Stüssy to release a special t-shirt for their 20th Anniversary, together with Mix CD & DVD package.

Unfortunatly the shirts are only available in Japan right now.

One Love Books is about to release a book written by DJ, writer & designer Al Fingers about the no.1 shoe of choice of Jamaica this august.

“This book explores how footwear made by a Quaker firm in the small, quiet, English village of Street, Somerset, came to be the ‘baddest’ shoes in Jamaica.” All of the new images are by Mark Read, the text by Al Fingers, with lots of previously unseen archival material and interviews with some legends of reggae.

Recently found this nice Interview with legendary Producers Mafia & Fluxy on the awesome Shimmy Shimmy Blog.

How did you both get into music initially?

In our family home my uncle had a sound system called Wizard Hi-Fi. We used to play on the sound system everyday when we came home from school.

What was the sound system scene like when you started? Could you give us an idea what it was like to grow up in the era of legendary UK sounds?

Yes, we had huge sound clashes with sounds like Fatman, Jah Shaka, Sir Coxsone Sound, they were the top 3 sounds in London at the time.

Read the whole Interview over at Shimmy Shimmy.

DJ Jahson, of Philly’s own Solomonic Sound, brings you this awesome Dubmix as a stream on Mixcloud. According to Solomonics Blog, once the mixclouds page hits 500 streams they will free up the mix as a download. So listen it steady!

Paying respects to the original dub pioneers and foundations of reggae music, Jahson has built a mix of modern day dub reggae, digital dub, uk steppers, and dubstep. With the Bass Culture party in Vermont, he introduced this blend of sounds to the massive for over 2 years… However during that time, the genre known as DubStep also morphed into a commercial soulless bastard stepchild commonly known as BroStep. Fed up, he decided to do something about it and laid out the plans for a musical assasination.

When the mix was done, the idea came up to do a twist on the cover art from the rare classic dub album ‚Scientist Rids the World of the Curse of the Evil Vampires‘.
