R.I.P. Pretty Ricky

Wow, just got the news that Pretty Ricky of Brooklyns Tek 9 died today.

From what i’ve heard, at least there was no violence involved.

My gosh, how the year start so bad already.

Rest in Power Rick, and condolences to his family and friends.

 

The Real Deal Clash in Trinidad

Sentinel Sound are about to make their first clash appearance in T&T on July the 16th, against Tek 9 from Brooklyn (with a branch in T&T, operated by Nicho Flex) and X-Caliber Sound (the sound of wellknown soca-artist Dawg E Slaughter) from Trinidad in a clash named “The Real Deal”.

Supersonic wins Global Cup Clash in New York last Weekend

Yes, it’s true!

Supersonic killed Black Kat, Yardbeat, Tek 9 and Synemaxx at C-Pac last Saturday in New York and took the Global Cup Clash Trophy!

Word on the streets is that this win was fully earned by Sonic.

Hopefully the Audio is dropping soon.

Global Clash – Welcome to the Garrison

A next clash’s coming up on Memorials Day Weekend@C-Pac in Brooklyn and the one named

“Welcome to the Garrison”.

Up in this fight you have such sounds as

Tek-9 Movement from Brooklyn,

Black Kat, the 5 Star General from Christiana, Jamaica,

the japanese Garrison Sound Yardbeat,

Synemaxx from St. Mary, Jamaica

and, finally steppin’ on international soil,

the big, bad and bold Supersonic from Berlin!

This line-up seems pretty amazing to me, and maybe Spider and Rick have something to settle after this, which can make this clash even more exciting.

Plane Money’s well spend on this one I think.

New Competitor for War ina East 2009

Last week, Herbalize-Its own, Sultan, the promoter for the clash, announced to the world that LP International will not taking a part in the War ina East 2009 due to some unknown issues.

Good news is that the guys found a next, for me even better, competitor!

Now the big, bad and bold Poison Dart from Tampa will team up with Tek9 against the germans.

No disrespect to LP, but i’m way more interessted to see Poison Dart for the first time live .

And due to the reason that Pretty Rick and Tarantula are one of my favorite mcees out there I’m really excited bout these news.

And believe me when I say: The line up is incredible huuuuge!
