A while ago I’ve told you about Diplo selecting the new Greensleeves Riddimentary CD.

Now The Fader sat down with Diplo to talk about it.

It must have been hard to pick just a couple records with which to tell Greensleeves’ story. What’s not on the album that you wish was?

The proper version of “Night Nurse!” I mean there’s soooo much reggae from this certain genre, but this was the ones that really got me. The Toyan album with “African Thing” (the Jacqueline riddim) was one of the first crazy vinyls I got from a flea market. I would say its artworkwas directly influential to the Major Lazer character.

One of the UK’s most prolific reggae labels, Greensleeves asked Diplo to create an exclusive mix, giving him access to their entire catalog of hits. Out Feb. 21st.

The long awaited debut Album “Put the Stereo on” from UK’s new reggae sensation Gappy Ranks ’bout to drop late August 2010! I’m excited.

Stüssy Deluxe is about to release a book, a CD-Compilation, some accessories  and a special t-shirt collection in cooperation with the Greensleeves Record Label and London-based DJ Al Fingers. Nice ones!
