Mit ‘Belgium’ getaggte Artikel

Wow, just found this video of  Jubaltarock online.

He was the tourguide for me and my friends when we visited Jamaica back in 2003.

Really nice and decent guy, he took good care of us while we’re climbing the blue mountain peak, cycling trough the bush, chilling and dubplate recording in Kingston and visiting a Killimanjaro Dance somewhere in the Mountains.

He lives in Belgium since a few years with his babymother and his daughter.

Big up Jubaltarock aka Culture anytime!

Wow, unbelievable how fast the Promoter (U-Club) puts up the Audio for this Clash this time.

Big up Mattia & Crew!

Yesterday Sting like a Bee defeated Soundvibration and Steady Rock Crew in the Uptown Skankin’ Soundclash Final.

Overall it was a very nice clash with nuff big dubplates, not so much rare 45′s and some good speeches.

Clash started with a Introduction-Dubplate-Round.

Soundvibration played first, but had some problems with the cd-players so that they can’t play their introduction round like they want to. Due to that reason the round was a little mix-up.

After that Sting came in and really had the place in a frenzy. Superb cutted Specials with some really good rewritten lyrics. Especially one Bounty and a very good Sizzla stuck to my mind.

Steady Rock really impressed me with their presentation then, their MC Mahatma’s one hell of a clash-mc. You can feel he’s hungry for it.

Nevertheless for me Sting took the round, hands down.

Second Round was a 45 Round, but I really can’t remember nuff of it.

After that the crowd voted Soundvibration out of the clash and the both sounds left went for another 45 Round which was won by Steady Rock for me.

Then they went for a 10 Tunes Dub fi Dub which really impressed everyone in the place.

One of the nicest DfDs i’ve heard in a while, no doubt.

Don’t remember everything, but artists like Fred Locks, Dobby Dobson, King Everald & Little John, Horace Andy & Tappa Zukie, The Jays, Prince Alla, Ernie Smith, Ras Michael and the Sons of Negus and nuff more got played.

Really exciting Dub fi Dub with forwards flinging from left, right, back, front and center.

The Voting wasn’t sticky at all, Sting Like a Bee took this thing by far, but for me personally it was not that clear like for the rest of the massive.

So me say congratulation to the big, bad and bold Sting like a Bee for winning the trophy and big up the other contestants for this nice clash sameway, also want to big up the promoters Guns-E-Num and Jamrock HiFi.

Looking out for whats coming next from them guys.

And by the way, don’t forget Sting’s gonna clash Ivory Sound out of Brussels in Groot-Bijgaarden/Belgium this June in their first All-Dubplate-Clash.

For those of you who been curious about Ivory Sound,

and never heard of them before, I have uploaded a 45 Clash of them versus Boom-a-Ranks Sound ,

both hailing from Belgium, from 2006.

Yesterday Heartbeat Movement from Belgium announced a next clash coming up in June in Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium,  near to Brussels.

They promote this thing at JK Paddestoel as a Part of their monthly Dance called Joyride (where we’ve played also last year).

On the 5th of June

Ivory Sound from Belgium and

Sting-Like-A-Bee from Germany

will buck up inna Dubplates-Only-Soundwar,

both of them for the first time I think.

Rules goes like this:

“1ST RULE: NO CUSTOMMADE TUNES
SECOND RULE: THE MASSIVE IS THE JUDGE

ROUND 1: 20MIN DUBPLATE (INTRODUCTION ROUND)
ROUND 2: 15MIN DUBPLATE
ROUND 3: 10MIN DUBPLATE

DUB FI DUB:
EVERY SOUND PLAY’S 10 TUNES (FOUNDATION)”

If your flemish is as good as mine, you can read a discussion about this clash on the Beljam Reggae Dancehall Board.

Really looking out for this.
